Apple, knowing the messiness that is our lives, has announced that users will be able to unsend messages in a bonza of an upcoming iOS 16 update

Hallelujah. Where was this during Mercury Retrograde?

Ben Wood, Chief Analyst at CCS Insight, said: “Apple is determined to ensure iMessage remains competitive with WhatsApp and other messaging apps.

“The addition of ‘edit’ and ‘undo send’ underline this and will be welcome additions.'”

In a newsroom post, Apple explained the update, due to launch next year, will allow users to “edit or recall recently sent messages, recover recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread so they can come back to them later.”

While Apple have said, “Embarrassing typos can be a thing of the past!” regarding the release, we all know the truth of it: no more sending messages or screenshots to the person you were whinging about. We’ve all done it.

“You can immediately recall a recent misfire,” Apple added explaining users would see a contact name and “unsent a message”.
