With MasterChef nearing its end and Big Brother just getting started, it’s safe to say Australia has reality TV on its mind. But nothing quite says “trashy weeknight television” like The Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises.
While the first – with Bachie Locky Gilbert – has been delayed this year due to coronavirus, the 2020 Aussie Bachelorette is yet to be announced. But we’ve heard it through the grapevine that none other than MasterChef’s own Tess Boersma could be giving out the roses this year and, not gonna lie, we’re here for it.
Tess, according to New Idea, will trade in her kitchen whites for a cocktail frock as she is being “lined up” by Channel 10 for The Bachelorette.
But the publication says there’s one major issue with her contract: she’s very happy in her current long term relationship.
Yeah a boyfriend will definitely put a damper on your reality TV ventures in romance.
As Tess hasn’t posted a photo of her and her man Eliot Nelson since 2019, it is unclear if they are indeed still together. However, Eliot is still in her Instagram avatar which says enough, in our opinion.
TLDR: The Bachelorette 2020 is tbc and MasterChef’s Tess is not(?) available.
