Married At First Sight’s Sarah Roza has revealed her horrifying history of abusive relationships in a new interview with The Herald Sun.
The former reality TV star said she was taunted about her weight and left with $750,000 of debt thanks to one former boyfriend.
“I’ve never had broken bones, and this is awful to say, but sometimes I wish I had been punched in the face or stabbed because some of the mental scars will be with me forever.”
“Bones heal, bruises disappear, but the emotional stuff brought me to my knees. It starts with little things to chip away at your confidence. ‘Don’t eat that, you’re putting on weight’ or ‘You should go to the gym’ and it gets worse.”
“Towards the end, (one partner) called me a ‘f***ing fat c***’. I could get a million compliments, but that’s what will stay with me.”
Sarah, who is now an ambassador for Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, revealed she was spat on, strangled, had her life threatened and had private information published on an adult website.
The reality star found love with Perth FIFO worker Telv Williams, but the pair split up after filming the show. Sarah was heartbroken after their relationship ended, but she is now reportedly dating Melbourne-based James Stephens.
