Coronavirus means working from home, and working from home means lots of video calls. Work meetings have gone online, uni lectures are now on zoom, and everyone is realising just how crap their wifi is.

But, apart from that, most of us manage to survive our work day. Except for the small percentage of the population who – somehow – forget they’re on video and do embarrassing things.

Last week we brought you the story of a uni student who was caught getting frisky and wristy in a recorded lecture, and today we bring you the tale of a woman who dropped her dacks and went to the toilet while on a zoom call.

Zoom call

The US woman apparently forgot/didn’t realise the video was on and placed the laptop on the floor of her bathroom with the toilet perfectly in the shot before proceeding to do her business. The reaction of her colleagues was priceless and we honestly can’t tell if we’re horrified or amused or both. Probably both, tbh.

Matty J and Ruby Teys discussed the mishap in the latest episode of The Babble because, well of course they did.

“When that call is happening – Jennifer in this video – nature’s come calling. She’s had to go and do a little trip to the bathroom,” Matt explained.

“There’s a guy bottom left and his jaw opens up in complete shock like ‘Whaaaat?’

“What’s happened is someone’s released that footage… You’d have to quit, there’s no coming back from that.”

Following the video going viral, ‘poor Jennifer’ began trending online in solidarity for zoom call toilet girl, whose name is Jennifer.

Until next week, when we’re sure there will be another video call horror story.
