It’s easy to get sucked into the Hollywood hype of the love affair between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. We mean everyone who watched the performance of Shallow at the Oscars felt the deep connection between the two artists.

But exactly – they’re artists, performers – and they bring home the bacon by perfecting the art of pretending. Sure, they had insanely deep chemistry throughout the film A Star Is Born but their two performances since then are the two acting as their characters.

The pair took to the stage for one of the most anticipated moments in the 2019 Oscar’s ceremony, performing their hit duet Shallow for only the second time in public.

Fans couldn’t help but notice Gaga stare longingly at her co-star’s eyes as he opened the song, before he joined her behind the piano, meeting heads as they sang in unison.

Then the song finished and to add to the intensity, the camera closed in tight on Gaga and Cooper’s faces:

Meanwhile, Cooper’s partner Irina Shayk sat watching the pair sing and Twitter is out here feeling sorry for her but can we just stop and look at what happened after the song finished.

So, can we calm down on the Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper/Irina Shayk love triangle? The only triangle we need to be concerned about it the Khloe/Jordyn/Tristan one.

Lady Gaga told the media in a press conference after the Oscars the advice Cooper gave her before the performance:

“What Bradley said to me yesterday right before we did our last rehearsal for this performance of Shallow … He said, ‘Let’s just drop a little bit of joy.’ And I said, ‘OK’.”
