Well folks, the time has come for us to say goodbye to the ladies of Litchfield.

That’s right, the Orange is the New Black cast have announced that season seven – to air in 2019 -will be their last.

The cast shared a video to Twitter detailing the news (warning, tears imminent!):

“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison,” showrunner Kenji Kohan said.

“I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black.”

The series, which made serious waves when it debuted, has propelled the careers of many in the cast including two-time Emmy award winner Uzo Aduba, Kimiko Glenn, Laverne Cox, Danielle Brooks, Yael Stone and more.
