It’s been five months – yes, only five – of loved up, over-the-top, slightly full on PDA from Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson. And just when we thought the couple couldn’t ramp it up anymore (talking about flashing each other and sharing half naked photos is already pretty ramped up), Miley and Cody have taken things to the next level.
No they’re not engaged, no there isn’t a baby, no they didn’t buy a frozen yoghurt franchise together. Instead they opted for the worst kind of commitment: they got matching tattoos.
Children, havest thee learnest nothing?

In our humble opinion, couple tattoos are never ever in the history of dating a good idea. But we’re not here to tattoo shame, we’re here to report the facts. So here are the facts:
Miley and Cody are the proud owners of matching trident tattoos on their left arms. The ink was gone by L.A-based tattoo artist Nico Bassill.
Tridents are better than initials in a love heart, but it’s still a pretty random choice. So why did Miley and Cody get tridents? It’s likely a nod to Cody’s soon-to-be-released poetry book, Prince Neptune.
This isn’t the first time Miley and Cody got tattooed together. Back in October they went to the same tattoo artist and got separate work done. Cody got a skull and scythe tattooed on his chest, while Miley got a heart with a dagger and the words ‘ROCK N ROLL HEART’.
We’ll be praying for their relationship – tattoo removal is expensive.
