Ok, this is illegal mate. You can’t just record people without asking.
According to Peter Ford a taxi driver is hitting the streets trying to sell a recording of a private phone conversation.
The convo was between Channel Nine’s favourite brother duo, Karl and Peter Stefanovic.
Ford made the allegations this morning by sending out a tweet over the weekend.
Could a Sydney taxi driver who recorded the private drunken conversation of a famous passenger be about to destroy a TV partnership? There will be tears before breakfast time. Next week across Australia & NZ.

News.com.au reported that Ford had the conversation transcribed to him and revealed the contents of the conversation:
“They talked about jobs, about life, a bit of bitching and a bit of moaning. But I think most people would think, there but for the grace of God go I.”
Apparently there was also “bitching and venting”:
“Obviously I was talking about Georgie Gardner.”
Ford said, referring to his earlier cryptic tweet teasing that the tape could “destroy a TV partnership.”
“I don’t know that it would destroy, but it certainly would cause… it’s an unusual relationship between those two anyway, you just wouldn’t want any grenade thrown into the mix.”
Georgie Gardner was confirmed as the replacement for Lisa Wilkinson on the Today show in November 2017. The presenter joined Karl Stefanovic, Sylvia Jeffries, Tim Gilbert, Natalia Cooper and Richard Wilkins, working four days a week.
Georgie said she was “thrilled” to be returning to the show after leaving the show back in 2014 to spend more time with her husband Tim Baker and children Bronte, 12, and Angus, 10.
Stefanovic confirmed he had a commitment ceremony with Jasmine Yarbrough over the weekend, well at least his personal life is on the up.
