Fan faves Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker are officially headed back to The Block.
One of five couples returning – Alisa and Lysandra (did they ever actually leave?), Josh and Jenna, Ronnie and Georgia, and Deanne and Darren – the pair are set to help renovate a room.
Fresh off a bathroom reno week, the show will feature the second guest bedroom – yeah, apparently that’s a thing? Producers have reportedly doubled the prize money to $20,000 so the help from ex-contestants will come in handy big time.
Elyse Knowles spoke to NW Magazine to explain more about her return:

Describing the experience as a “blast from the past” Elyse said it was “quite scary” to be back.
“When you haven’t done it for two years and then you’re jumping back in… it’s a very scary situation,” she told the publication.

Elyse also spilled the beans on the reality behind the series explaining contestants often get very little sleep on Thursday and Friday as well as no sleep on Saturday.
“So you’re pretty much half-dead on Sunday, when the couples’ interviews are,” she explained.
“The lights are really warm and I’d be shaking my head trying to stay awake. Producers kept trying to feed me sugar, Coke and lollies.”
