Well, would ya look at that.
Party dude Corey Worthington has found a way to get his name in headlines again.
If you need a refresher, Worthington is that guy who threw an out-of-control party house party at his parent’s place in Melbourne ten years ago.
This guy.
Anyway.
Worthington is a new man these days. He’s done away with the wild behaviour and has traded it in for fitness.
So much so, in fact, that he thought he’d give the Australian Ninja Warrior course a go on Tuesday night.
Speaking to cameras before attempting the ridiculously difficult course, Worthington said:
“I was 16 years old, my parents had gone away to Queensland and I decided to have a big house party,” he said.
“It went boom and went a lot bigger than I thought. I had about 500 people rock up, 200 people trying to get in. There was a dog squad, helicopters — it was crazy.
“People would probably expect me just to be partying 10 years on, but now I’ve got myself together.
“I’ve got the fitness, put on a little bit of weight and now I’m going to come out and smash the Ninja Warrior course.”
And you know what? He didn’t do too badly!
He got through a good portion of the course, but was defeated by the Rope to Cargo obstacle where his back touched the water.
Worthington told hosts that he was “shattered” after his performance… which is probably kinda similar to how his parents felt when they discovered 500 strangers had been packed into their home ten years ago.
