In case you’ve been living under a Kardashian-free rock (which we’re not certain exists tbh), you’ll know all about the feud between the Kardashian/Jenners and Caitlyn Jenner.
That being said, it’s been a long-drawn out battle so let’s recap shall we?
The ‘feud’ (it’s not exactly Capulets versus Montagues) started with Caitlyn “bashing” Kris in her autobiography.
The former Olympian stated that the separation was “20 per cent gender and 80 per cent [was] the way I was treated”.
Khloe then spoke out about the issue, supposedly sending a message to Caitlyn reading:
“We don’t care what you’re doing, we don’t care if you want to transition, we want to support you and be there for you. But we don’t think that entails you speaking negatively about my mom. In our opinion, you don’t even need to mention our mom.”
And then former family mediator Kim decided she’d had enough called Caitlyn out for her manipulation and lying:
Since then, Caitlyn Jenner has taken her turn to swing back telling Broadly what she believes is the real reason for the separation…. and tbh… we can kind of understand what Kim is on about:
“I got the trans community out there bashing on me, I got the Kardashians out there bashing on me. All I do is sit here in the house and try to stay out of trouble,” she began.
“I have a lot of children, but sometimes just because of circumstances, maintaining a close relationships with your kids is very tough,” she explained about her lack of communication with most of her kids.
“They all have lives. They’ve all moved on.”
“We’re just human beings; we’re going to be here for a very short time. We come and we go and at the end, when it’s all said and done, hopefully your family is going to be there.”
The response, while helping keep the tone of the article, seems to be nothing more than an artful dismissal of the entire idea of a feud or wrongdoing.
It’s leagues away from the cut-and-dry vernacular of Kim and Khloe’s speech (“liar” and “bad person” respectively) and we honestly can’t tell if it’s beautiful… or kinda sad… or a little petty.
Or somewhere in the middle of all three?
