You’ve read the headline but allow us to confirm; Aldi Australia’s Tamova Quadruple Distilled Vodka has claimed the top award at The Global Vodka Masters 2022. And get this – it’s a cheeky $30.99 for 700ml.
The Aldi tipple was put to a blind taste test in The Vodka Masters competition in a drive to find the finest Vodka brands on the world stage and apparently, they found one that’s close to home for us Aussies.
The affordable Australian-made vodka was awarded the Master Medal by the independent panel of experts, taking top billing out of 139 vodkas from 75 different companies around the world.

Melita Kiely, Editor of The Spirits Business (aka the lucky ducks who run the competition), praised the four-times distilled vodka for its “exceptional purity and a clean, crisp natural flavour.”
Paul Handley, Buying Director for Spirits and Beer at Aldi Australia said:
“We are so proud when our products are recognised with awards such as this one as it shows we are successfully delivering on that low-price, high-quality promise. The multi award-winning Tamova vodka can be enjoyed in a simple vodka, lime & soda, or is also ideal for making refreshing cocktails our customers can enjoy at home, such as a vodka martini or cosmopolitan.”
Cheers to that.
